MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has temporarily disabled some “features” of its official Facebook page “to deny trolls a platform for their suspicious activities.”
According to the AFP, its move also aims to hinder trolls’ “coordinated attempt” to spread “disinformation.”
Article continues after this advertisement“Troll farms are a menace to society, and we choose not to empower inauthentic actors in their coordinated attempt to spread disinformation and malinformation,” AFP said in a statement on Wednesday evening.

“Statements, releases, and information on our activities will continue to be posted on our official channels and legitimate media organizations,” it said.
